Tally Terms of Service
Last updated September 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of Tally, an app made by Strawberry Digital LLC (“we”, “us”). By using Tally you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
Tally is free
There is no charge to use Tally, no subscription, and no in-app purchase. We may introduce paid features in future, and if we do, anything you can do today will not suddenly sit behind a paywall.
Points have no cash value
Tally awards points for receipts you submit. Points are a score, not a currency. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, goods, gift cards, or anything else of value, cannot be sold or transferred to another person, and are not property. Nothing in Tally is a rewards, loyalty, or cash-back programme, and no payment of any kind is promised or implied.
We may change how points are awarded at any time. If we ever introduce a way to redeem them, that will come with its own terms, and it will be something you opt into rather than something applied retroactively.
Your account
You need an email address to sign in. Keep access to that email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you. One account per person. You must be at least 13 years old.
What you may and may not submit
Submit receipts from your own purchases, or from purchases of your household. Do not:
- submit receipts that are forged, altered, printed from a generator, or not yours;
- submit the same receipt more than once, or from more than one account;
- use scripts, bots, emulators, or automation to submit receipts;
- attempt to interfere with the service or with other people's accounts.
We may reject a receipt, reverse points, or suspend an account that appears to break these rules. Because points have no value, nothing of value is lost when we do.
Your receipts stay yours
You keep ownership of everything you submit. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your receipts, have their text read, and show them back to you. That permission is limited to operating Tally, it is not transferable, and it ends when you delete your account. We do not take a licence to sell, publish, sublicense, or create derivative products from your receipts, and we do not sell or share your personal information — see the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account. It is immediate and permanent: your profile, receipts, images, and line items are destroyed, and your points go with them.
If we ever shut Tally down
We may change, suspend, or discontinue Tally. If we discontinue it, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app or by email and provide a way to export your receipt data before it goes. Apps in this category have a bad habit of disappearing overnight; we are committing in writing not to do that.
No warranty
Tally is provided “as is”. Receipts are read by an automated system that will sometimes be wrong, and we do not warrant that the extracted merchant, date, total, or line items are accurate. Do not rely on Tally as your only record of a purchase, for tax or accounting purposes, or for anything where being wrong matters. Keep your receipts.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strawberry Digital LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Tally, and our total liability will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tally afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
